OSHA: HazCom, Hearing and Record Keeping

Presented by Erica Moncayo, this course is made up of 3 modules which review three of the most pressing topics safety and health-related topics for ranges:

  • Hazardous Communication (HazCom)
  • Hearing
  • Record Keeping
Module 1: OSHA and Hazardous Communication (HazCom) digs deep into OSHA's six steps to building an effective HazCom program, including:
  • how to prepare and implement a HazCom written plan
  • container labeling requirements for hazardous chemicals
  • the proper care and maintenance of safety data sheets
  • and the difference between informed of and trained to as it relates to the HazCom standard.
Duration: appx. 40 minutes

Module 2:  OSHA and Hearing Conservation provides an understanding of:
  • the way sound is measured in the context of a range including Decibels, Time-Weighted Average and Standard Threshold Shifts.
  • how sound levels are tested and monitored (audio-metric testing)
  • personal-protective equipment that can help improve hearing conservation
  • how to train about and keep records when it comes to your hearing conservation approach
Duration: appx. 30 minutes

Module 3:  OSHA and Record Keeping provides a detailed look into:
  • the difference between recordable and reportable injuries
  • how to complete and maintain forms 300, 300A and 301

Duration: appx. 30 minutes
