Clinical Update in Women's Health 2021

This session reviews the strength and scope of the most significant published advances in Women’s Health in the medical literature from March 2020 through March 2021. In addition to common women’s health topics, presentations include discussion on the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on women’s health clinical care and how identified advances translate into direct changes in clinical practice. Articles have been selected according to their methodological quality, clinical relevance, and potential to change practice. Topics include COVID-19, sexually transmitted infections, contraception, screening and treatment for cancer among women, osteoporosis and bone health, domestic violence, women’s cardiovascular disease and menopause. Each article presentation begins with a clinical vignette and question, demonstrating the clinical relevance of each topic.
