This Clinical Update in Medical Education was originally presented at the SGIM22 annual meeting in Orlando (April 2022).
This session is an engaging review of the most influencial medical education literature from the past year. General internists who are active in medical education will be interested to learn more about key studies published in medical education literature over the past year.
Presenters highlight publications that advance general internists' understanding of professional identity formation, the generalists' role in equity promotion, and their impact as leaders in the future of healthcare, in line with the meeting theme of discovery, equity and impact.
The session highlights impactful innovations, insights and transformative works that you can appy to your own educational practice. Collected articles have been selected based on a modified Delphi technique with the following categories in consideration: relevance ot the meeting theme (Discovery, Equity and Impact), the importance of the study question, the quality of study methodology, and the generalizability of conclusions or outcomes.
