DICE (Diversity & Inclusion Community & Equity) invites you to join us for a candid discussion on disabilities and librarianship. It is imperative for librarianship to take action in providing equitable opportunities and cultivating an environment of respect for those with disabilities, visible and hidden. Quite often, people experiencing disabilities are left out of the conversation on equity diversity and inclusion. In order for this to change those of us in the profession must begin building disability awareness, acknowledge the experiences of those living with disabilities and reckon with the perpetuation of ableism in librarianship and information services.
