TB and COVID-19: Clinical and Programmatic Responses

TB and COVID-19: Clinical and Programmatic Responses

Given the significant public health challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic and the strong response from TB programs to date, this session will highlight the experiences of several jurisdictions which have been significantly impacted. Although it is likely too early to present evidence-based impacts of the pandemic on our TB programs, we recognize the importance of early case studies to better understand the response and the potential programmatic and patient-level impacts. Emphasis in the presentations will be given to the overall epidemiology of COVID in the jurisdictions, the changes implemented by the TB programs to continue serving individuals and families impacted by TB, and data related to TB-COVID-19 co-infections.
