Description

LTBI Treatment: Guidelines and Clinical Recommendations

Tuberculosis (TB) prevention is an essential part of the strategy to eliminate TB. In this session, the 2020 NTCA/CDC Latent TB Infection (LTBI) treatment guidelines will be presented along with an in-depth review of the soon-to-be released companion document to the 2020 guidelines, developed by NTCA’s National Society of TB Clinicians (NSTC). This companion document, Testing and Treatment of Latent Tuberculosis Infection in the United States: Clinical Recommendations, was developed by TB clinicians who are national experts in the care and treatment of individuals with TB and LTBI. These expert recommendations for the screening, testing, and treating of LTBI, present a more detailed guide for clinicians and provide extensive treatment recommendations based on best practices and clinical expertise.

NTCA, in partnership with the University of New Mexico’s School of Medicine Office for Continuous Professional Learning, is able to provide AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, for the live internet activity, and enduring materials credit, for this virtual TB conference.

NTCA, in partnership with Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell, is able to provide continuing education credits for this live internet activity, and enduring materials credit, for this virtual TB conference.
