2020 Report of Verified Case of TB Training

During this two-hour session, participants will learn how to complete many of the new and revised items on the 2020 Report of Verified Case of Tuberculosis (RVCT). The session will include an overview of 2020 RVCT items, facilitated group discussion, and opportunities for participants to exchange methods and ideas. Everyone who has a responsibility for completing the RVCT is encouraged to attend this post-NTCA RVCT training.

  • Moderator: Julie Self

    Julie Self is the Acting Team Lead for the Surveillance Team in the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination (DTBE). Her epidemiology experience includes chronic and infectious diseases, and she has worked in DTBE since 2017. Her experience includes providing training and technical assistance to state and local programs for TB surveillance and molecular surveillance activities and collaborating on a variety of projects involving analysis of TB surveillance data.

  • Presenter: Robert Pratt

    Beginning in 1993 as a contractor in the Division of TB Elimination, Bob Pratt has more than 25 years of experience analyzing national TB surveillance data. He has also provided technical support for the National TB Indicators Project beginning prior to its launch in 2009. He has supported many peer-reviewed manuscripts on TB epidemiology and surveillance products including the annual TB Surveillance Report, the Online TB Information System and support for the interactive tool known as AtlasPlus which provides the ability to create customized tables, maps, and charts using CDC’s surveillance data on HIV, viral hepatitis, STD, and TB. 

  • Presenter: Lauren Lambert

    Lauren Lambert has worked on TB prevention since 1993, when she was a Public Health Advisor in New York City while Dr. Tom Frieden was the Director of the Bureau of TB Control. She searched for persons with TB who were lost-to-follow-up, performed DOT, and worked at Rikers Island interviewing incarcerated men with TB. Lauren received a Master’s degree in Public Health from Tulane in 2002, and is an epidemiologist in SEOIB now on the Surveillance Team. Recently, Lauren has been working on the COVID-19 Corrections Unit, but her heart is still with TB.
