Description:
The profession of Playwork arose from the adventure playground movement of post-war England. The priority of Playworkers is to provide a place for children to play, where play is defined as “freely chosen, personally directed and intrinsically motivated.” In this session, Linda will introduce the Play Cycle, a fundamental concept of Playwork, and discuss how her discovery of Playwork has fundamentally changed her teaching philosophy and practice.
