Description:
Understanding the early signs of ASD and working with children on the spectrum. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the early years can impact how a child thinks, feels, interacts with others, and experiences their environment. Children with ASD can present very differently, this is why autism is described as a spectrum. In this session, a Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist, will share their knowledge and understanding of ASD traits and share strategies she uses to help children, their families and teachers develop their social skills and regulate themselves.
