Description

This will be an overview of the scope of Point-of-Care Ultrasound in the first trimester. It will cover the anatomy and physiology that takes place during the first 13 weeks of gestation and the images that capture the many changes. Dating of early pregnancy will be covered. Early loss of pregnancy is also reviewed. We will review the ultrasound signs and images associated with an ectopic pregnancy. In addition, the indications for referral and process of documentation will be discussed.
