Empathetic Leadership and Why it Matters Now

In this presentation, the speaker will define empathetic leadership, identify qualities important to the development of empathetic leadership, and help participants learn how to balance being empathetic and being able to make the hard decisions for the good of the team, the organization, and the clients served.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define empathetic leadership in the context of health care,
  • Identify types and qualities of empathetic leadership, 
  • Demonstrate understanding of the balance between empathetic leadership and difficult decision making.
