Lithium Batteries Transportation Course

This course was developed as a collaboration between the International Association of Movers and the Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) which is a part of the US Department of Transportation (DOT). While the scope of the training provided by the TSI relating to hazardous materials transportation requirements is broad in scope, this course will be focused on lithium batteries and the devices that use them which are commonly found in most households that fall under exceptions found in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 49 Parts 100-185.

We strongly recommend that you read the text that accompanies each section and the reference materials carefully.  These contain links to the source materials from which the videos were developed so that you can always access current content and drill down to relevant details.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner will receive a Certificate of Course Completion from the Transportation Safety Institute.

Completion of either of these courses earns 10 IAM Ongoing Education Credits.
