Description

IAM has developed a course in collaboration with the International Association of Movers and the Transportation Safety Institute (TSI) which is a part of the US Department of Transportation (DOT). While the scope of the training provided by the TSI relating to hazardous materials transportation requirements is broad in scope, this course will be focused on lithium batteries and the devices that use them which are commonly found in most households that fall under exceptions found in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 49 Parts 100-185.  The course also covers the specific guidelines for lithium batteries contained in the US Transcom Tender of Service effective May 15, 2023.

IAM's Director of Government Services, Dan Bradley, will be joined by Pete Kramer of the USDOT TSI and Ray daSilva of IAM Learning.
