    Description

    This is the third live session for this program. The live session will answer any questions you submitted through the course portal and any questions you have live on these modules.

    Once this live session concludes, you will be provided immediate access to Modules 10-13 to begin the training.

    Important Notes:

    • We will be using Zoom. It is important to check your system requirements (see button to the right) prior to Tuesday to ensure you do not have difficulty joining the session.
    • This session will begin with instruction by ITE staff and lead instructors. Therefore we ask that when you join, remain muted and camera toggled off.
    • There will then be an opportunity for live interactive session and the instructors may call on you in which you can unmute and turn on your camera.

      Steven Jewell, P.E., PTOE is a retired traffic engineering subject matter expert. Over the course of his career he served as Traffic and Planning Manager for DLZ Ohio for more than 16 years, and spent 30 years with the City of Columbus, Ohio Traffic Engineering and Parking Division. He holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (transportation) and an M.A. degree in Public Administration, both from Ohio State University. He is a Life member of ITE. Steve also currently serves as chair of the ITE delegation to the National Committee on Uniform Traffic Control devices.

    • Lynn LaMunyon, P.E., PTOE, IMSA II, County Traffic Engineer | Ocean County, New Jersey

      Lynn A. LaMunyon, P.E., PTOE, IMSA II has over 35 years of transportation engineering experience specializing in traffic signal and ITS design, safety, and operations. After over 30 years in the Private Sector, she is currently serving as the County Traffic Engineer for Ocean County, New Jersey. She has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Florida and is a registered Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE). She is also a certified Traffic Signal Technician Level II from the International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA). Lynn is very active in ITE, serving various roles over the years. Currently, she is the Immediate Past Chair of the Traffic Engineering Council and she served a 3-Year term as the Northeastern District representative on the International Board of Directors for ITE (2008-2010). She was the President of the ITE Metropolitan NY-NJ Section (MET Section) in 2000 and has also served as the Northeastern District Chair (2006). Lynn is also very active in ITSNJ. She is the Immediate Past President and currently serves as the First Vice President. She is also on the Board of the newly ratified WTS-NJ chapter. She is the co-author for the Traffic Control Devices chapter of the ITE Traffic Engineering Handbook-6th Edition. She has received both the Ivor S. Wisepart Transportation Engineer of the Year Award (2005), awarded by the ITE MET Section, and the Harvey Boutwell Award (2008), awarded by ITE Northeastern District. In 2016, she was named one of the Best Fifty Women in Business by NJBIZ. After 35 years in the private sector, Lynn has recently taken on the role of Ocean County Traffic Engineer.

    • Steve Gault, P.E., PTOE , Chief, TSMO Arterials & Planning Section, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Bureau of Maintenance and Operations | Highway Safety & Traffic Operations Division

      Steve Gault strives to ensure smooth mobility within his home state of Pennsylvania with new approaches to using technology to safely and efficiency move humans. A resident of Pennsylvania Dutch Country with his wife and two children, his local traffic signals must serve horse-drawn buggies in addition to pedestrians, bicycles, and motor vehicles. As the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Chief of TSMO Arterials and Planning, Gault uses his passion by overseeing traffic signals, arterial operations, and planning for deployment of TSMO solutions across the state. Gault has been testing the limits of traffic signal controllers for several years, including building his own software to analyze controller log data. He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania and a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer.

    • Cynthia Peck, P.E., PTOE

      Cynthia Peck, P.E., PTOE works at CVE Limited, where she has worked since January 1999. She began her career with the Missouri Department of Transportation where she spent her first three and a half years after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis. Cynthia began her career as a roadway engineer and began to specialize in Traffic engineering at DLZ. While involved with many aspects of traffic engineering, her focus has been on the design of traffic signal installations and the preparation of traffic studies. She has provided presentations at the Ohio Technical Engineering Conference and numerous ITE meetings, including the International meeting in Minneapolis.
