Description

In this presentation you will be presented with tools to build effective and strategic supplier relationships. We will focus on the importance of strong/clear communication, approaching opportunities and challenges with creativity and how these two skills can lead to effective and beneficial collaboration. A good supplier management strategy not only includes working with suppliers to improve their performance, but also integrating with internal processes and communicating the strategy's/supplier’s value to all of the stakeholders.

Session Objectives:

  1. To empower procurement professionals to be more confident in the final SOW developed for a service contract.
  2. To review how to broadcast SOW requirements to end users.
  3. To write a good first draft of the specifications.
  4. To explain how to ask the right questions of the end-user to develop a statement of work for service contracts and administer a service contract based on the risk to the institution (cost vs. benefit).
