Shear walls are the main seismic load resisting elements in reinforced masonry (RM) structures. Compared to RC shear walls, RM shear walls have their unit features and reinforcing details, which need special considerations in their design and performance assessment. This webinar will present recent advances in the nonlinear modeling of RM wall structures, and in particular, simplified nonlinear models that can be used in pushover and time-history analyses for ASCE 41-type procedures.
