This webinar will focus on
the relationship between structural engineers and ethical practice and the
cannons of ethics produced by licensing boards, professional associations, and
the legal system. In recent years, there has been a proliferation of
documents produced on the subject, as well as mandatory continuing education in
the area of ethics for license renewal. This webinar will attempt to
highlight some of the pitfalls businesses experience while attempting to
practice in an ethical manner, the effect unethical practice can have on
employees, and the variations in licensing laws on the subject. Case
studies and hypothetical situations will be presented for analysis by the
audience, and audience participation will be encouraged.
