This webinar will provide an overview of load testing conducted to evaluate the strength of existing structures when the safety or serviceability of the structure is in question. The presentation will discuss situations where it may be appropriate to perform a load test and review the ACI load testing requirements. Case studies of load tests of various structures will be presented to review the planning and execution of a load test including the related field assessment, structural analysis, test protocol, loading methods, data acquisition and monitoring required during the test. The presentation will also discuss the challenges associated with implementing a load test and review lessons learned from past load tests.
