This introductory course explores the basic types of elevators, escalators, and miscellaneous lift applications. Additionally, concepts involving structural requirements for different types of elevators will be explored.
Mr. Jagannath joined VDA in 2017 and is responsible for vertical transportation design, development, and coordination in both new and existing structures, including preparation of elevator systems’ traffic analyses and design recommendations; construction drawings, specifications, and construction services.
Mr. Jagannath started working in the elevator industry in 2007 with Fujitec as a Project Engineer and was responsible for various facets of elevator engineering. Prior to joining VDA, Mr. Jagannath held a position as Director of Engineering which included responsibilities such as creating and developing the engineering department, conducting engineering field surveys for layout shop drawings, inspections and developing specifications for both in new construction and modernization projects. In this role, Mr. Jagannath has partnered with various firms for successful completion of many complicated projects.
