This session will introduce the anatomy of a multicultural organization and its role in facilitating inclusion and equity. Participants will understand the difference between monocultural and multicultural practices in preparation for application to their respective NCSEA roles.

    Shani Dellimore Barrax (she/her/hers) is a strategic diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in organizational culture change and change leadership, training and development, strategic planning, and coalition building. She now serves as the principal of her consulting collective Aurora Change Agency, where she partners with organizations to create intentionally inclusive and humane cultures where those with minoritized identities experience psychological safety, belonging, and the freedom to innovate. Her consulting work includes capacity-building learning and development programs that provide opportunities for self-reflection, dialogue, and interpersonal perspective-taking. She partners with her clients to integrate equity, inclusion, access, and belonging into their organizational DNA through individual and organizational change agency.
