Small World, Big Money

    Ligia Peña, CFRE is the Global Legacy Manager at Greenpeace International where she drives Greenpeace’s global legacy strategy and manages a community of practice of legacy managers in 14 countries. She’s a seasoned presenter internationally and she’s the author of the Small Shop Fundraising chapter in the second volume of Excellence in Fundraising in Canada.

    Penelope Cagney, MA, CFRE is rated among the Top 6 Fundraising Experts in the US by Philanthropy Media, and has more than 30 years helping nonprofits succeed in fundraising, planning and governance. She and her associates have helped clients achieve significant financial (more than $500,000,000 dollars raised) and organizational objectives. She has taught fund development, strategic planning, governance, and communications at the School of the Art Institute and Columbia College in Chicago; at the Arizona State University Nonprofit Management Institute; and was a Distinguished Visiting Professor at American University in Cairo, Egypt.  Penelope is editor of Global Best Practices for CSO, NGO and Other Nonprofit Boards and author  of Nonprofit Consulting Essentials: What Every Nonprofit and Consultant Needs to Know.  Penelope Cagney serves on AFP's International Foundation for Philanthropy.
