Emilio Alonso-Mendoza has served as AG Bell’s chief executive officer since 2014. He brings with him an extensive history in the nonprofit sector, assisting organizations such as the Catholic Community Foundation and Children’s Home Society of Florida raise their national profiles. Emilio holds a B.A. in journalism and J.D. from the University of Miami, as well as a professional certificate in fundraising (CFRE) from the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is trilingual (Spanish, English, French) and serves as a board member for several human services and arts organizations. |

AVT is AG Bell’s Chief Strategy Officer.
Gayla has worked as a direct service provider, clinical supervisor,
State EHDI Coordinator, and Director of Indiana’s Center for Deaf and Hard of
Hearing Education (CDHHE) and has served and continues to serve in leadership
roles on national committees/work groups.
Julie Swaim is AG Bell's Early Intervention Parent Consultant. She is a parent to a successful adult child who was diagnosed with profound hearing loss as the result of contracting bacterial meningitis when he was a baby. Julie has traveled the journey many parents are navigating today. Because of all Julie learned, she became an advocate for helping parents understand their choices and the very important steps they need to take so their child can communicate. Today, Julie commands the Listen-Learn-Link Parent Support Line at AG Bell (provided through a partnership with Cochlear).
