    • Participant will be able to identify the potential support provided by an itinerant teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

      Educational Specialist, Children's Hearing Program, University of Miami
      Alex Mestres holds degrees in Education of the Hearing Impaired and Elementary Education. Alex has worked as an administrator, professional development trainer, and consultant. She served as the department chairperson for Deaf and Hard of Hearing services with Miami Dade County Public Schools. Alex currently serves as a DHH Specialist, providing all deaf and hard of hearing services for charter schools acrossed six counties in Florida. She is also the educational specialist at the University Miami's Children's Hearing Program.
