The ISMPP West 2020 meeting, The Winds of Change: Navigating Uncharted Territory for Medical Communication Professionals, was held virtually on October 1-2, 2020. Recorded sessions from this event have been made available for you!

ISMPP West has historically been geared toward our members located on the West coast of the United States and we have worked to drive content to the smaller biotech companies that reside there geographically. For 2020, due to the global pandemic, we broadened the content and education to meet a wide audience and to address the unique challenges that publication professionals are facing due to COVID-19 (and other key areas). Here are some highlights of the sessions below: 

• Emmy Award-winning Journalist, Epidemiologist, Author and Medical Doctor Seema Yasmin presented the Keynote Address. Dr. Yasmin is author of the forthcoming book, Viral BS: Medical Myths and Why We Fall for Them. 
• Plenary Sessions focus on lessons learned during the COVID-19 pandemic by spotlighting the emerging trends and opportunities at virtual congresses, and the pressure to publish with preprints.
