CR 3-310 What Are Your Clients' Favorite Lies?

Instructor: Ari Tuckman
Total time: 90 minutes
CEUs: 1.5

Conference Year: 2017

Course Descriptions
We all tell ourselves little lies because they make us feel better in the moment. We rationalize questionable choices by coming up with semi-plausible reasons to justify not doing what we know we should. Unfortunately, these little lies can interfere with clients making best use of your work with them, so it is important to identify these little lies that clients tell themselves and to work with them to make better choices instead.

Learning Objectives
1. Identify the most commonly used excuses that your clients may use.
2. Discover why we feel the need to come up with these excuses and the cons of doing so.
3. Learn how to overcome these excuses and move forward.

Code Words
Please be sure to listen for and record the code words given during the presentation. The instructor will explicitly verbalize code words periodically throughout the class (i.e. "The first code word is...") Note: Not all instructors give code words. If you do not hear any, please indicate "none given" on the course evaluation.
