Mortgage lien release has been the bane of every underwriter and processor’s existence. This seminar explores the lien release process from a number of perspectives and sheds light on new and innovative legislation that helps alleviate the issues resulting from a lender’s failure to properly release their liens. We will conclude the hour by exploring real case scenarios of investigating, researching and ultimately finding proper signatories for unreleased liens causing clouds on title.

Daniel Morris
Daniel Morris was born and raised in Virginia Beach Virginia. He graduated from Norfolk Academy in 1982 and University of Richmond in 1986 with undergraduate degrees in International Economics and Modern Foreign Language – German. He completed studies in Keynesian Economics and German Literature at Universitate Freiburg, Freiburg Germany. Mr. Morris received his juris doctorate and studies for LLM in international taxation at Regent University and is currently licensed to practice law in Virginia, and Colorado. He is managing partner at The Morris Group, P.C. Attorneys and Counselors at Law, where his practice focuses on corporate and secured transactions in real estate. He now lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia with his wife Kay and their three boys.
